Just like every place, PA does have a few negatives. Some parts are a tad outdated but that's mostly due to the contrast of the modern lands. The atmosphere in the park is honestly so relaxing and lovely. We went during Halloween which was SO well themed and they went so crazy for halloween! My favourite land is the Italian village at the front and Far West which gave me Orlando vibes. Just like Disney and Universal etc, the park is split into themes or 'lands'. One day we visited, loads of rides were having malfunctions and closures which was really annoying. We visited during fall so some rides are shut which is a shame but there was plenty to do. Sesame street was Disney quality (like toystory mania) and Stampida was super fun and a family friendly ride. Most rides are amazing quality and portaventura has defiantly developed in the last decade as most parts of the park look brand new! My favourite ride was Shambala which is like SeaWorld Orlando's Mako but even better. PortAventura| TOUR AND REVIEW| English (Channel name Alanah) I also have a vlog available on youtube under the name Defiantly plenty to do for everyone but I'd say this park is more for kids aged 9+ simply so they can go on the rides etc!
We visited as a family of four in October 2021, during COVID and this was our experience! OVERALL- PortAventura is such a good theme park! Rides and theming is Orlando quality and most parts of the park are so modern. Finally Ferrari Land really should be part of the main park, Red Force is incredible but that s the only thing it has to offer. A theme park of this size with only one dark ride is really surprising. Most of the shows were also cancelled daily at the very last minute or even worse only viewable if ordering a meal! The park does have some great coasters but in general did not have as many attractions as we had expected. To eat or even just buy a drink you could queue over an hour. Rides broke down continuously and for long periods of time, Furious Baco was closed for 2 out of the 3 days with no explanation other than "it happens alot".
The park was seriously overcrowded, operations were a joke, more than 40% of stores and restaurants were closed the entire time, queue times were over 90 mintues for every attraction and be prepared to wait almost 3 hours to get on rides like Shambala. We spend 3 full days at the park and yet in all this time hardly got the chance to ride much. This park could have been so much better but overall the experience was quite disapointing.
